The New Post-Rock Tribe

Finally the post-rock community has a tribe to rally behind. Everyone is welcome to list their favorite post-rock bands and discuss tour dates, albums, and band members along with anything else that may pertain to this most monumental form of rock.

Keep on post-rocking amigos.

Intonation

Of course, it probably would've made more sense to post about this *before* it happened, but that would've required more life skills than I've actually got ;)

Anyways just wanted to say that I was at this Intonation thingamajig this past weekend, and that it was about as cool as you might expect:

http://intonationmusicfest.com/site/lineup.html

Seeing Four Tet, Broken Social Scene, Prefuse 73 (whose live lineup included John Herndon on Moog) and Tortoise all in one day was very post-rock indeed. Tortoise was in great form, and pulled off excellent performances in a set that drew heavily on tracks from TNT and Standards.

I only went for the first day on Saturday. I had a lot of fun.

Farewell to Hymns

Hi fellow posties,
I am in a band called "Farewell to Hymns".WE just recorded this little scratchy demo in my garage last weekend, and we posted three songs at our Myspace site. The songs are instrumental and very post rockish. See what you think. The recordings came out pretty nice for just a MD recorder. If you like us and you are on Myspace, add us and we'll keep you posted with upcoming shows and what-not.
